It seems strange writing this when my last post (admittedly a month ago) was made just before returning to Grant Hall for my second term at university. However, anyone that’s spoken to me recently will know that a number of personal issues have affected my current accomodation arrangements for the remaining seven weeks of this semester.

Sadly, in my next meeting with the warden of the hall, I’ll be officially requesting terminating the residence contract, meaning I’m about to leave Grant Hall. Instead, I’ll be living at home for the rest of the term, simply travelling to the campus for lectures during the day and coming home again when I’m finished. This plan means I’ll be doing a lot of travelling, but by living at home for the rest of the term I can solve a number of problems which have really been getting to me lately.

Although I’m confident that moving out of the hall is what I need to do in order to solve my problems, it’s quite a sad thought. I’ve had lots of fun living in the hall as I’m sure some of the photo’s on my gallery page will show. :P I’ll certainly miss the atmosphere of the place and it’ll be a shame not to be able to go out to Waterfront with the rest of C-Unit. However, it takes more than living 40 miles away to keep me away totally, so I’ll still be showing my face in Asylum every couple of weekends so the partying isn’t completely over. ;)

There are of course advantages to being at home too. For a start, my meals will be home cooked, which is bound to be much nicer than the canteen food I get each day at The Lawns. Also, I have the comfort of my own room, where nobody pelts the doors and windows, nobody shouts and balls when they get in at 2 in the morning, and fire alarms aren’t there to wake me in the stupidly early hours of the morning. Additionally, I’ll have my own computer back as well as a proper internet connection. That means I wont be blocked from accessing my own site, plus I’ll be able once again to contribute to the development of MyBB (once of course I’m upto speed on the many changes which have been introduced recently) as the university proxy will no longer be a problem.

For the obvious reasons, I haven’t posted any of the full details into some of my recent problems, as they are indeed personal, and such personal issues don’t really belong on the net. However, it’s still quite a strange situation I’m finding myself in. At the end of the day, I’m sure my best option is to, like I said, move out of my hall of residence. What makes the situation strange though is that at the same time I’m wanting to leave, a large part of me isn’t wanting to. It seems I can’t win totally whichever option I choose, but hey, isn’t that life?

Anyways, there’s the latest on some of the things that have been going on in my life recently. To try and bring some more pleasant news however, I visited Andy at Stafford University last weekend. Whilst there, we saw Christina Aguilera in the Union (kind of… :P), had our first trip of 2006 to Alton Towers (yes, it’s off season, but annual passes open some pretty nice doors ;)) and played yet another prank on Andy’s flatmate Tim (poor guy). Yes, even we didn’t realise that so many leaflets could be pushed under one guys door…the final count was just short of 1200 leaflets under there. I don’t know how poor old Tim puts up with the pair of us, we seem to pull some kind of prank each time I visit. :P

Later in the week there’s likely to be another post here, and with any luck there should also be a collection of new photographs up in the gallery, but we’ll have to wait and see. :)
